Board of Trustees
The charity is managed by the board of Trustees who meet at least 3 times during the year.
Trustees are elected at the Annual General Meeting. The board identify, approve then approach people who are deemed to be in a position to offer complementary skills to those already represented.

Charitable and Company status
Room For You is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee.
The company is governed by Memorandum and Articles of Association and was incorporated 3 July 2012. The charity is registered with the Charity Commission under number 1150142.
The organisation was previously part of the Freeman Hospital NHS Trust but all activities were transferred to the new company on the date of incorporation.
The main objective of the charitable company is:-
‘to protect and preserve the physical and mental health and assist the rehabilitation and care of the general public, patients, former patients and companions.'
The work we do
Room For You has provided a unique service in the three main hospitals in Tyne and Wear. We design arts activities that bring patients and companions together and to enable peer support that is guided by trained counsellors.
Room For You engages up to eight professional, highly experienced artists and counsellors to work creatively in healthcare environments. (See below)

The Team of Associates is made up of professional visual artists and trained counsellors who are supported by a part time coordinator and a trained supervising counsellor:

Friends and supporters
Our Friends are supporters of the work that we do, helping us identify funding opportunities, and undertaking fundraising activities on our behalf. There is no charge for membership of our new Friends scheme, but if you would like to make a donation, you can do this online via our website or you could contact us direct. We also hope that our Friends will be advocates for our work within their own networks of friends and colleagues.
